Why we do it
We believe that self-respect can be taught. We believe that if we ever hope to become a true LGBT "community," we must proactively come together. We must share our knowledge with each other, we must learn our history from one another, and we must create our future together.
We believe that an empowered individual is an individual capable of greatness.
For the first time in history, an unbroken lineage of visible LGBT generations exists. We have the responsibility to our past, our present and our future to seize this opportunity. We must celebrate our ancestors, we must foster our young people, and we must establish lines of communication to create the healthy global LGBT community of tomorrow.
For too long the LGBT population has sought validation from religious organizations and governments around the globe. We have had to actively fight physical and emotional persecution from people who lack the common understanding of who we are.
